Internships

Northumbria University Sport Internships are the next step for any students who have actively engaged in our Volunteer programme. All volunteers will be given the opportunity to apply for positions within our Internship scheme and will go through an application and interview process before being appointed.

Becoming a Northumbria University Sport Intern will help you to stay one step ahead of the game in a very competitive field. In return for your commitment we can offer you first hand experience in the workplace. Here you will be mentored by full time staff and also be given responsibility for your own areas of work - all this experience and you get to earn some money at the same time!

Not surprisingly a high percentage of students who become part of our Internship scheme are able to use this experience when completing CVs and job applications and use Northumbria University Sport as a reference when they apply for jobs upon graduation. A number of  students have gone on to begin careers within sport, whether it be in coaching, marketing or media to name just a few.
