BUCS

Northumbria’s Water Polo team are looking to make an impression this year in both BUCS and National League. Our squads will be training in Sport Central this year, benefiting from its 25m Swimming Pool and expert coaching staff, led by former GB captain Neil Bowers.

Membership: Students £80.
However if you take out Platinum Membership you are entitled to Sport Club Memberships for 2 clubs (maximum).

National League

Championships 3

The Men’s Water Polo Open Club has gone from strength to strength in the last year with far better training facilities at Sport Central. We have a strong squad which finished second in the Northern League and is now competing in the National League Championships 3 with a good chance of promotion

Performance Sport

Athletes selected onto our Performance Sport Programme benefit from a range of specialist support designed to help talented athletes realise their potential. Each athlete receives a package of support up to a value of £8,000, which is based on their individual needs.

We welcome applications for all sports including Waterpolo, and both home and international students, however we prioritise applications from athletes from sports in which we work in partnership with the National Governing Bodies to deliver their Excel or Performance programmes.

Therefore please be aware that we prioritise applications from athletes within Golf, Netball, Volleyball, Fencing, and Judo.
