Volleyball Level 1

This course is open to everyone- students, staff and members of the public. It is theory based with some practical sessions.

The course involves looking at preparing to train and play includes warm up and cool down, fundamentals, postural control and ball handling. It also considers game flow including attacking, defending and transition as well first contact including service and service reception. The course also covers 'How to' coaching skills including communication, demonstration and explanation.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must be 16 years old or above to take the course.
  • Candidates must have some prior knowledge of the game.
  • Candidates should wear suitable clothing and footwear and bring appropriate writing materials.

Volleyball Referee Grade 4:

This course is open to everyone- students, staff and members of the public. It is a theory based course with some practical sessions.

The course is centred around basic rules and scoring. There is a theory examination on the rules of volleyball and use of the score sheet (80% pass mark is required).
