Swimming

What:
Northumbria University has formed a partnership with Swim NE to deliver swimming tuition for students and staff. The Start swim courses are taught in small groups (maximum of six) in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. The instructor is in the water at all times to encourage and support learners. Each course lasts for six weeks (6 x 30 minute sessions) which must be booked in advance. Learners will be allocated a time slot and must attend the same session each week.

Additional Information:
Participants should wear appropriate swim wear, all additional equipment will be provided.

Criteria:
No previous experience needed, beginners are welcome.

Non Members - £15

*Sport Central and Coach Lane membership.

Booking Information:
You can book your course using our Online Booking System, visiting Sport Central or Coach Lane Reception or telephoning either facility 0191 227 4700 (Sport Central) and 0191 215 6575.

If you choose to use our Online Booking System you will need to do the following:

1. Enter your Login ID (students and staff- this is your computer username). If you are not a student or staff member of Northumbria University you will need to sign up.
2. At the top right hand corner click on change and select Courses and Coaching
3. Click on ‘Make a Booking’ and then select Start Courses
4. Then choose the Start Swimming course that you would like to book.
