RFU 'Rugby Ready' Safety Course
This course is open to everyone- students, staff and members of the public and is practical based.
The course aims to give an understanding of how to deliver a safe and enjoyable practical session. It also gives knowledge of how to coach and improve contact skills and particularly the tackle as well as how to improve scrummage engagement skills. The course also educates on contact skills.

Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Rugby Union
This course is open to everyone- students, staff and members of the public. It is a theory based course with practical sessions.
The course will cover the following; safely organising and supervising Rugby Union activities, understanding of handling skills, tackling, contact and continuity, 5 man scrum, line out throwing and support techniques. It will also cover understading player development, good coaching practice, health and safety and laws of the game.

This course is open to everyone- students, staff and members of the public.
The Scrum factory aims to increase the number of players able to play in the scrum effectively and safely, particularly the front row.

RFU Continuity in Attack
This course is open to everyone- students, staff and members of the public.
The course is practical based and looks at developing attendees understanding of the principles while maintaining continuity in attack with ball in hand. Furthermore attendees will explore passing and offloading from the ball carrier, ball retention and develop an understanding of high tempo attack and the benefits and dangers.

Entry Level Referee Award Rugby Union
This course is open to everyone- students, staff and members of the public. It is theory based with practical sessions. After the course candidates should be able to display an effective knowledge of law, communicate effectively, referee the key phases of the game and understand management and control.
