Riding The Waves To Success

For the first time ever 5 male surfers will represent Northumbria University at the BUCS Surf Championships at Fistral Beach, Newquay, Cornwall this weekend (15th-17th Oct).

Students Alex Obolensky, Jack Workman, Nicholas Cooney, Danny Allott and Kris Fairset (who has just won the Tynemouth comp last weekend), will be among hundreds of surfers of mixed abilities from professional to experienced who will all be competing for top places.

The boys will register on Thursday then take to the waves on Friday to begin their quest to bring back valuable points and medals for Northumbria University.

Good Luck!
