A stunning comeback from Team Northumbria was too little, too late as the homecourt Yorkshire Jets claimed a 46-42 victory in tonight's Superleague showdown.

Lisa Stanley's side gave themselves a mountain to climb after failing to contain the Jets attack in the first quarter and falling 10 goals behind.

TN trailed 31-16 at the half before finally finding their stride on the back of a better offensive display.

The Sport Central club won the third quarter 15-7 and dominated the final period despite losing veteran centre Vicky Burgess to injury.

However, the Jets clung on top claim a valuable win and seriously dent TN's top four aspirations.
