Team Northumbria’s men’s basketball team continued their winning streak with an 83-69 win against Welsh side Glamorgan Gladiators.
Head coach Marc Steutel said: "I’m over the moon with the performance from the lads. We have now forced Glamorgan’s fourth loss this season compared to our single defeat."
TN started the match with a bang winning the first quarter 24-14 and going into half time 14 points up.
However Steutel said there was still improvements to be made.
"We had a bit of a mixed performance really," he added. "There were spells were we put in an excellent performance but there were also spells were our younger players showed their age with their lack of experience.
"Still, we made the critical runs when we needed to."
This weekend's victory was TN’s second win against the Gladiators this season after they triumphed 84-77 at Sport Central in November.
And the players will also receive their first well deserved Monday off training this week due to this weekend’s Sunday fixture falling before a vital midweek BUCS match.
TN have yet another big fixture next weekend against London Westside - currently fourth in EBL Division Two.
Steutel added: "The match next weekend is massive. We still have improvements to make but overall I’m pleased with our lads' performance."
